Internship Opportunities
DPA has numerous opportunities for students interested in obtaining experience in their respective fields. Numerous trainings and educational opportunities are available to students throughout the year.
The purpose of DPA’s internship program is to allow the student to gain work experience in a field closely aligned with their discipline. DPA’s internship program will allow the student the opportunity to gain necessary knowledge, experience, and skills in the field of Public Defense and Criminal Justice. Internships are unpaid. Some clerk positions may be paid; contact Patti Heying for more information.
Prior to starting an internship, every intern must submit an Application, a Resume, Confidentiality Agreement, Volunteer Acknowledgement Form, and Computer usage agreement or Laptop Usage Agreement, and the completion of a successful interview. These forms are available on the right of this page.
Students are not permitted to contact field offices directly.
