The Advocate is a bimonthly periodical that publishes material of interest to those who serve indigent clients accused of a crime. Its mission is to actively promote a criminal justice system that is characterized by a fair process with reliable results.

The Advocate is published by the Department of Public Advocacy, an independent agency within the Justice and Public Safety Cabinet. Opinions expressed in articles are those of the authors and do not necessarily represent the views of the DPA
