Appellant, John Roscoe Garland, was convicted by a McCreary Circuit Court jury of three counts of murder and sentenced to death for each count. He appeals to this Court as a matter of right pursuant to Section 110(2)(b) of the Constitution of Kentucky.

Appellant, James Edward George, Jr., was convicted of two counts of terroristic threatening, one count of kidnapping, six counts of first-degree sodomy, five counts of first-degree rape, and one count each of second-degree assault and second-degree persistent felony offender. He was fined $1,000.00 and sentenced to a total of twentyfive years' imprisonment. He appeals to this Court as a matter of right. On appeal, he raises a number of alleged errors by the trial court including exclusion of evidence of letters written by the victim to George, failing to disclose expert testimony, failing to include instructions on lesser-included offenses, and failure to enter a directed verdict of acquittal on certain charges.

This appeal is from a judgment based on a jury verdict which convicted Glenn of first-degree sexual abuse, two counts of second-degree rape, second-degree sodomy and third-degree rape. He was sentenced to a total of thirty years in prison. The sole question presented is whether the testimony of the victim was improperly bolstered .

Appellant, Demetrius Gray, was convicted of Second Degree Escape and First Degree Fleeing or Evading the Police by the Fayette Circuit Court. The jury recommended a sentence of five years on each count to be run consecutively and each was enhanced to fifteen years due to Appellant's persistent felony offender status . The charges arose from Appellant's arrest for Receiving Stolen Property Over $300 and his subsequent flight from police while being transported to the Fayette County Detention Center. Appellant was ultimately acquitted of the underlying felony of Receiving Stolen Property Over $300 but now appeals his convictions on the Escape and Fleeing charges as a matter of right. Ky. Gribbons v. Com.-2001-SC-000506-TG -Not Published; Affirmed --PDF
George Gribbons was convicted by a Casey County jury of wanton murder, for which he received a sentence of forty years' imprisonment. He appeals to this Court as a matter of right. We affirm his conviction.Return to the Main Table of Cases
