LaGrand v. Com. ; 2002-SC-000195; Published; Affirming -- PDF

Appellant, James Allen LaGrand, was convicted of first-degree sodomy (KRS 510 .070) in the Muhlenberg Circuit Court, for engaging in deviate sexual intercourse with E.L ., a female less than twelve years of age . Appellant was sentenced to twenty years in the state penitentiary. He appeals to this Court as a matter of right. Ky. Const. § 110(2)(b) . We affirm.

A jury of the Kenton Circuit Court convicted Appellant, Pierre London, for Robbery in the First Degree (KRS 515.020) and for the status offense of Persistent Felony Offender in the Second Degree (KRS 532.080) . For these crimes, the jury fixed Appellant's sentence at twenty years .

Lovett v. Com. ; 2000-SC-001072-MR and 2000-SC-1078-MR ; Published; Affirmed; -- PDF

After the denial of his motions to suppress and for a protective order, Appellant Todd Lovett entered a conditional plea, RCr 8 .09, pursuant to North Carolina v. Alford , 400 U.S. 25, 91 S .Ct. 160, 27 L.Ed .2d 162 (1970), to one count of manufacturing methamphetamine, one count of possession of a controlled substance in the first degree, one count of possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, one count of endangering the welfare of a minor, and one count of being a persistent felony offender in the first degree. He was sentenced to a total of twenty years in prison and appeals to this Court as a matter of right. Ky. Const. § 110(b). We affirm.
