(1/7/2022) I’m pleased to announce that Heather Estes has been appointed as the new Stanton Directing Attorney. Heather received her Bachelor Degree in Psychology from University of North Carolina – Greensboro, in 1997. In 2000 she graduated from Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville. Heather has practiced law for twenty years and has been with the Department of Public Advocacy for the past ten years. Heather is a member of the Kentucky Bar Association and the Kentucky Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. She has presented regionally and at the DPA Annual Conference with regard to Casey’s Law. Heather lives in Winchester, Kentucky with her significant other and fellow public defender, Bill Maddox and her two children, Georgia and Devin.
