In addition to live and virtual training, defenders employed by the Department of Public Advocacy, including non-attorney staff, have access to additional educational and practice materials on The Trumpet. Attorneys contracting with DPA to provide services can also obtain access.
Materials available on the Trumpet include:
- Archive of Webinars on various topics in public defense
- Recordings of presentations from Annual Conference, along with training materials
- Recordings of presentations given at various trainings throughout the year
- Synthesis of areas of law relevant to criminal practice
