Client and Community Resources

The Department of Public Advocacy takes a client-centered approach to representation to achieve better outcomes for clients, their families, and their communities. This approach combines strong legal advocacy with the understanding that client needs extend beyond their pending charges. To be truly effective advocates for their clients, DPA employees address collateral consequences of a criminal action and the struggles associated with being entrenched in the criminal justice system.

Clients, their families and the community are essential to a client-centered method of representation. When clients, their families, and the community work with the DPA to defend a charged individual, it provides the attorney a clearer path to best represent each client. Your participation is appreciated, and necessary to achieve the best possible outcome.
