Glenda Edwards Appointed Columbia Directing Attorney

(1/16/2022) Glenda Edwards began her career with DPA in 1999 in the Columbia Field Office as a staff attorney representing juvenile and adult indigent defendants from first appearance to trial.   After stops as a Directing Attorney of the Columbia Office (2003-2010), Central Regional Manager (2010-2011), and Trial Division Director (2011-2019), Glenda returned to the courtrooms around Columbia Office as a staff attorney. Glenda is a 1998 graduate of the University of Louisville, Brandeis School of Law and 1995 graduate of Campbellsville University. In 2010, she received the KACDL Juvenile Justice Award.  And, the Public Advocate awarded Glenda the Clarence Earl Gideon Award in 2019.  Glenda previously served as a member of the Juvenile Task Force that culminated in suggestions for the reform of the KY juvenile system known as SB200, on the KY Juvenile Justice Advisory Board, and Standing Committee on Juvenile Court Rules. In her spare time, she enjoys reading novels, streaming copious amounts of television and music, and exploring the family genealogy through work on special projects with the Green County Genealogical Society.
